Scott Adams lived a remarkable life – and inspired millions right into his death, which he faced with his typical realism and courage.
I am indebted to Sean Spicer for the opportunity to pay tribute to my friend Scott Adams, seen in this video clip. Adams was a patriot and thinker who will be sorely missed. He added so much to the public discourse and he touched legions of heart and minds through his work, especially through hilarious, biting commentary in his comics — and through searing analysis in his popular daily shows.
Scott and I got acquainted through our common pursuit of the truth regarding the Charlottesville Myth, the “Very Fine People Hoax.” Starting in 2017, the legacy media and other political opponents of Trump went wild with the scurrilous slander that Trump had praised neo-Nazis following the tragic events during violent Charlottesville, Virginia protests.
Of course, the exact opposite was true – but with some deceptive editing and a lack of context, the liars at places like CNN were able to pump a narrative far and wide: ‘Trump is a bigot and you are too, if you support him.’
Because I worked for CNN as an on-air conservative voice in 2018 and 2019, I was amazed just how often this myth was constantly cited on the airwaves. I tried valiantly on TV to debunk the myth, but every time I was shouted down by the panel of “experts” and the supposedly unbiased hosts.
I was often put into “TV timeouts” whereby I was effectively benched from CNN for daring to expose the truth about the Fine People Hoax.
I wrote about the myth way back in March of 2019 for RealClear Politics.
Independently, Joel Pollak at Breitbart and Scott Adams were also constantly pursuing and exposing this grand lie. Scott called it the “tentpole hoax” that supported and encompassed all other media hoaxes about Trump…and they were many!
The three of us formed an alliance and a friendship. We shared information and ideas and amplified each other’s work.
I was finally permanently taken off the air and dismissed from CNN for speaking the truth on this topic. My boss then, Rebecca Kutler, specifically told me I was taken off TV because of the video I made on the topic for Dennis Prager and his PragerU platform.
Mind you, I was ALLOWED to make that video. I did not mention CNN, and my contract only precluded other TV appearances.
But telling the truth has consequences. So be it.
I had been fired before then…and since then! Many media platforms really don’t appreciate truth tellers. Often, getting dismissed is nothing to be ashamed about.
Importantly, that same Rebecca Kutler now runs MSNOW, the renamed MSNBC, which gives you an idea about that platform’s regard for the truth.
In a sense, this vicious lie about Charlottesville, it led to some special personal outcomes for me. For example, I became friends with amazing people like Scott Adams, Joel Pollak, and Dennis Prager. My video reached into the tens of millions of views in total, across platforms.
Importantly, I think we prevailed. Almost all reasonable people now recognize that the Fine People Hoax was a lie.
Even more importantly, Scott Adams went to his death discovering his own super important truth – that he has a Savior in Jesus Christ.
Requiescat in Pace, Scott.
