Biden Is Our Opponent for November
Don’t be distracted by palace intrigue. We face Joe, and that’s a good thing…
Unbridled ambition. A laughable understudy. No alternatives.
These realities all point to Biden as the 2024 Democrat nominee.
After the damning revelations concerning Joe Biden’s cognitive impairment, speculation rages about his political viability and the possibility that the Democrats will punt him as the party’s presidential nominee for November.
Biden is not going anywhere, for the three reasons explained below. But even more importantly, those of us in the patriotic populist movement should embrace the challenge of taking on this highly unpopular, mentally challenged, and totally corrupt Establishmentarian. Even with his material advantages of incumbency, Biden remains an incredibly vulnerable opponent for us.
As one might expect, I do not have direct relationships with the leaders of Team Biden. I do, however, have close communications with many people who are very tight with the top tier of the Biden White House and campaign. They verify to me what has been widely publicly reported about the stubbornness of Joe Biden to run. Perhaps even more importantly, they attest to the nearly insatiable power lust of First Lady Jill Biden.
As such, I believe there is almost no chance that Biden is replaced as the Democrat nominee for November, even with the disastrous revelations about his alarming memory issues and debilitated overall mental capacity. Those revelations, mind you, emanate from his own Department of Justice in the Special Counsel Robert Hur report.
Here are the three reasons Joe stays:
1. Greed for Power – Joe Biden has run for president three times before in three different decades. During his half century (plus) in Washington DC, Biden has never been pegged as a policy wonk or any kind of intellectual force, even in his sharpest days of decades past.
But Biden has always, incessantly, displayed a thirst for power that stands out even by the standards of the Washington permanent political class. The idea that he would now, at the pinnacle of American political power, simply willingly ride into the sunset…does not comport with the crass political opportunist that he is.
Moreover, and perhaps more importantly given the current cognitive state of Biden, his wife Jill seems to be the one person in Washington whose ambition might even eclipse her husband’s.
An excerpt from a forthcoming book helps illustrate her command of the White House and her husband. In “American Woman”, by Katie Rogers of the NY Times, the author describes the scene after one of Biden’s many awful performances before the cameras at the White House. From Axios: “Why didn’t you stop that?” Jill Biden demanded of Biden and his aides. "Everyone stayed silent, looking at one another, and then at her, and back to one another. That included the most powerful man in the world.”
Given the damage the two Bidens have inflicted upon America, we should actually be glad that they will not exit the political stage gracefully. Instead, they must be unceremoniously punted from power. Good!
2. The Understudy – In a healthy political dynamic, the torch would be passed to the number two in a situation such as the present imbroglio. But as mentally challenged as Biden is, Kamala Harris’ deep unpopularity and laughable performance as vice-president make such a succession impossible. Harris is the single worst diversity hire in an administration full of quota-fillers who are incapable of leading our republic. Some of her contorted word-salad answers before the cameras make even her allies wince. On her best days, Harris sounds like a toddler playing politician.
The American people grasp this reality, which is why she has an approve/disapprove ratio that is even worse than Biden’s. In fact, at -19% on the RealClear Politics polling average, the only national political figure who is more underwater and more disliked is Mitch McConnell.
Regarding her identity status, as the first female vice-president, with Indian and black ancestry, Harris enjoys “forcefield protection” as untouchable by the ridiculous rules concocted by the Democrats. So, there is no plausible way for the party bosses to pass by the female vice-president of color to select a more viable non-Biden candidate for November. Amazingly, Kamala’s ineptitude provides her with job security…at least through January 20, 2025, anyway.
3. No Alternatives – even if the Kamala problem somehow solved itself, there is no other strong alternative waiting in the wings for the Dems. In some fantasy world where the Bidens reckoned with the reality of his condition AND Harris willingly took a pass on power…the Democrats still face a quandary. Gavin Newsom is a political lightweight — a likable enough gladhander, but someone without gravitas who would constantly be explaining the inexplicable failures of California.
In reality, the Democrats only have two political stars, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and both are ineligible.
Well, what about the other Obama, you ask?
